The Proposal Selection Day for Carmel Holy Word Secondary School was held on 25 July 2022. After completing Phase I of the project, students utilized the knowledge they learned from STEM Education, Social Service Education, and Proposal Writing to design products for the hearing impaired or elderly, and then submitted a proposal plan. A total of 30 proposals were compiled for the panel of judges to evaluate on Proposal Selection Day. Ten out of the 30 product proposals were selected for Phase II of the project, ‘Maker Education’, where students will create prototypes. To ensure that the selected product designs meet the needs of users, the Hearing Impaired Ambassador of the Silence Pak Tin Integrated Service Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing was invited to be one of the judges.
