The Proposal Selection Day for Buddhist Wong Wan Tin College was held on July 14 2022. After completing Phase I of the project, students used knowledge gained from STEM Education, Social Service Education, and Proposal Writing to design products for the visually impaired or elderly and write proposal plans. A total of 31 proposals were compiled for the panel of judges to select on the Proposal Selection Day. Ten outstanding product proposals were chosen from the 31 to proceed to Phase II of the project, known as “Maker Education,” where prototypes will be produced. The Hong Kong Blind Union’s visually impaired ambassador was invited to participate in the judging process to ensure that the product designs met the users’ needs.
